Prof. Nworgu, Boniface Ginikanwa is a Professor of Educational Measurement & Evaluation and Director, Distance & e-learning, UNN. Department of Science Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Professor Boniface Ginikanwa Nworgu was born in Alulu autonomous community in Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State on January 10, 1959. He had his primary and secondary education at Central School , Alulu and Okpala Secondary School. Okpala respectively. A ‘Distinguished Alumnus’ of the University of Nigeria, Professor Nworgu obtained the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree [ First Class Honours] in Physics Education in 1982. He was the only candidate that made a first class in the entire Faculty that year and the first and only candidate ever to obtain a first class in Physics Education in the history of the University of Nigeria. He therefore bagged the awards for the Best graduating student in his Faculty and Department respectively in 1982. He also bagged and enjoyed throughout his undergraduate career the Federal Government Academic Merit Award for outstanding academic performance. On account of this exceptional academic performance, the University of Nigeria offered him automatic employment as a Graduate Assistant in 1983. He obtained his Masters and Ph.D degrees in Measurement and Evaluation in 1985 and 1990 respectively. He bagged the Vice-Chancellor’s award for the ‘Best Graduating’ PH.D candidate in the Faculty and one of the ‘Best Three Graduating’ PH.D candidates in the entire University in 1990. Due to his outstanding scholarship and productivity, Professor Nworgu made it quite early to the top of his career. At the age of 35, (i.e. 1994) he had climbed to the professorial cadre as an Associate Professor and at 39, (i.e. 1998) he earned a substantive Professorial Chair. He was Head, Department of Science Education (1994-1998) and Dean, Faculty of Education (2006-2008), at the University of Nigeria. A distinguished and renowned international scholar and researcher, Professor Nworgu at various times was Guest lecturer, Dept of Didactics, University of South Africa, Pretoria; Visiting Scholar, Science Education Center, University of Iowa, USA and Assistant Professor in Research and Evaluation, Dept. of Educational Studies, Ohio University, Athens, USA.

Dr. Ayanwale, Musa Adekunle,

Ayanwale Musa Adekunle, Ph.D is a Nigerian, he obtained his Ph.D from the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2019. His doctoral work focused on the efficacy of Item Response Theory in the validation and score ranking of dichotomous and polytomous response mathematics achievement test in the public examining bodies. A Master degree holder in Educational Evaluation and Research (Test and Measurement) from the University of Ibadan and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He has published articles in reputable journals both local and international in the area of Classical and Item Response theory, structural Equation Modeling and computer adaptive testing. Also, he as attended and presented papers both at local and international conferences. He joined the service of Osun State University and Ekiti State University, Nigeria as a temporary staff between 2015 and 2020. Later, he secured permanent lecturing appointment with Kampala International University, Uganda. Due to my background as an evaluator, I was given administrative position as deputy director quality assurance monitoring and evaluation for the University. He is a member of international bodies of educational assessment such as International Association for Computerized Adaptive Testing, American Educational Research Association, Educational Assessment and Research Network in Africa and Association of Computerized Adaptive Testing in Africa respectively. His research areas are educational assessment, Computer adaptive testing, Test theories, Generalizability Theory, instrument development and educational evaluation.

Otieno Gogo is a holder of a PhD degree in Education Management from the University of South Africa, a masters degree in Planning and Economics of Education from Maseno University and an ordained Anglican priest.
