Prof. Folorunso Dipo OMISAKIN
Professor Folorunso Dipo Omisakin, RN, RNE, B.N.Sc., M. Sc. (medical-surgical) Nursing, PhD (medical- surgical) Nursing, FWACN. A Professor of Medical- Surgical Nursing, an expert in critical care, palliative care and self-management education. My professional experiences included private duty nursing, clinical coordination and education. A fellow of West African College of Nursing, and member, Honors Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International since 2009. As nurse educator in the university settings, currently located in Edo University Iyamho, Edo State, my focus is on practice, teaching, research and scholarship. I have enjoyed unique opportunities to contribute to nursing’s knowledge base in my nineteen (19) years of working as Nurse Lecturer and have published thirty-eight (38) articles in reputable peer reviewed Journals. An external examiner to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria since 2001. I currently serve as reviewer to four international peer reviewed Journals and have also assisted in the supervision of many Masters of Nursing Sciences Degree student’s dissertation and review of three doctoral student’s thesis, they were all successful. I am also involved in a number of community development services.
