Prof. Nair CKK (Cherupally Krishnan Krishnan) is presently Hon.Director of Research,St.Gregorios Dental College and Research Centre, Kothamangalam 686681, Kerala (2015 Dec. to date). He was Scientific Officer (H), Head, Radiation Biochemistry section, R.B.H.S. Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay prior to his superanuaton after almost 39 years of meritorious service (Jan 1967-.Nov.2005). After this, he was Professor of Radiation Biology, Amala Cancer Research Centre, Trichur (Feb.2006-June 2011) and Dean of Research, Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Thiruvalla (2011 July – 2015 Nov.). He obtained PhD in Biochemistry for the Thesis - "Some aspects of DNA replication and repair"- from the University of Bombay, 1977. He has 50 years research and more than 25 years of postgraduate-teaching experience ( BARC training school, Unv.Mumbai and MS Unv.Baroda) and he has been a faculty many international/national workshops, apart from organizing may workshops. He has expertise in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, DNA Repair, Cellular Stress Response, Radiation Biology, Radiomodifiers in Radiotherapy of Cancer, Radiation Protection. Nanotechnology, Phytoceuticals, Drug development for Cancer, Environmental pollution and genotoxicity and has significant research contributions in these areas. His publications include, two books - 1. Radiation sensitizers – A contemporary audit, Eds. N.G.Huilgol, C.K.K.Nair and V.T.Kagiya, Publ.Narosa Publishing House, New Delhi, India and 2. My laboratory’s interests lie in translational studies on identification and verification of novel key molecular and therapeutic targets, signalling pathways or new effective neuro-protective agents relevant to pathogenesis and therapy of debilitating human neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson disease (PD), Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other human neuron degenerative disorders.

Dr. Pratheeshkumar Poyil is an Associate Scientist at Human Cancer Genomics Research, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before joining at KFSH&RC, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology, University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA for a period of 2011- 2016. He received his PhD degree in Tumor Immunology from Mahatma Gandhi University in 2011. He has been an author or co-author of more than 60 published research articles including reviews and book chapters; these articles have received 1543 citations with an H-index of 24 (Google Scholar, up to March 10, 2018). Add to this, he is an active reviewer of more than 20 international research journals. He is a member of editorial boards of International Journals and served as guest editor for 4 special journal issues in his research area. He is a highly motivated and innovative molecular biologist expertise in development and execution of translational biology, genetic and biochemistry-based research methods. His research interest includes the elucidation of cancer chemo-resistance mechanisms; identification of novel therapeutic targets in breast, papillary thyroid, colon and ovarian cancers and their targeting with small molecule inhibitors.

Dr. Ike Okosun

Dr. Ike Okosun an Associate Professor for the School of Public Health at Georgia State University (GSU). He received his doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health and has over 25 years of experience in public health. Dr. Okosun is a chronic disease epidemiologist who is an internationally recognized expert in the epidemiology of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Okosun’s research in diabetes, hypertension, obesity and insulin resistance syndrome has provided an understanding of the epidemiology of these diseases. His work on the role of abdominal obesity in explaining racial/ethnic variations for cardiovascular diseases has furthered understanding of lipid biology. Dr. Okosun is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health, The North American Association for the Study of Obesity and the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene. He is a member of the American Academy of Health Behavior and serves on the nutrition consultation team for the CDC Community Guide to Preventive Services. He is also a member of many scientific organizations including, American Public Health Association, Society for Epidemiologic Research, North American Association for the study of Obesity, International Society for the Study of Hypertension in Blacks and the American College of Epidemiology.

Dr Boniface Ikenna Eze is a senior lecturer at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and honorary consultant ophthalmomologist/Retina-Vitreous physician to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College - FMCOph, West African College of Surgeons- FWACS, and International College of Surgeons-FICS.
